You will also be paid 21 cents per mile for depreciation and maintenance of your vehicle. Your fuel cost is based on the average of a gallon of gasoline from the Auto Club web site. Equation: gallon of gasoline divided by 25 (avg. miles) to get fuel cost, 21 cents plus fuel cost equals total amount. Example: 21 cents + 6 cents = 27 cents per mile.
 
What you will be doing:
Scanning documents on a computer, serving subpoenas, picking up documents, having affidavits signed, delivering records. You will be dealing with lawyers, doctors and insurance companies.  

Geographical Area:
We need people for all areas in California, from San Diego to Redding.

Benefits:
After ninety days probation, you will be eligible for Blue Shield of California insurance, dental and vision are available but you have to pay for it. We provide paid vacations (one week after the first year, two weeks after two years), five paid sick days, one paid personal holiday, and eight paid holidays per year. There is a voluntary 401k available to those who want to participate.

Physical requirements:
You must be able to lift and carry forty to fifty pounds of equipment (laptop and scanner); this includes walking, and climbing stairs. The equipment is transported in a case with wheels, but you must be able to lift it in and out of your vehicle, etc.

Skills required:
• You must be able to pass a general knowledge test. This includes math, grammar, typing, and coding. All applicants must pass this before they will be considered for any position with Defense Pro.
• You must be familiar with computers and Windows 98/2000. You will need to be able to handle both hardware and software problems while in the field.
• You must be able to read a map. You will be using a Thomas Guide to setup a route with each stop having various criteria such as time constraints, file size, etc. Routing is another major part of this position.
• Since you will be dealing in a professional world, business attire is required.
• You will need to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.

Vehicle, insurance, and license requirements:
• This position requires you to drive your own vehicle, about 50-175 miles each day.
• You must carry $100,00/ 300,000 thousand of extra liability insurance, and you must put Defense Pro as an interested party on your policy. To qualify for this position you must have a clean driving record.
