Quality Control Verification Specialist – Level 1

Job Status: Full time
Job Location :Covina, CA
Salary: $11.00 per hour
 
 
The general responsibilities of this position are to make certain all work orders are processed completely and accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.  All responsibilities are to be carried out in a professional, timely and accurate manner.

QC WORK ORDERS
Utilizing the Document server program and the company’s procedure manual:
• Verify the log # and the control # corresponds with the work order.
• Make sure correct codes are used for the type of records requested.
• Review all documents to make sure every transaction is entered in the system.
• QC the Order Entry Screen, Carrier Screen, Extra Screen and the Individual transactions.
• Check the Order Form and all Support Documents printed are legible.
• Determine if it is a new job or an add-on.  If it is an add-on check to see if records
have been copied already.
• Determine if the facility require a subpoena or authorization to release the records.

If the job has been entered correctly forward the request to the field department.

If the job has not been entered correctly send it back to the verifier for corrections and reprint.
• Keep a log of all correction requests.
• Date stamp every job after QC. 

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented and be able to handle each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

SPECIAL SKILLS
Detail oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must have the ability to search and locate businesses and individuals through the use of internet, telephone and other tracing services.  Some legal background preferred, but not essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School graduate; plus one to two years of office experience and/or related training. Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions, add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  All applicants will be required to pass a Basic English and Math test with at least 70% pass mark.

COMPUTER SKILLS
In-depth knowledge of Internet Search, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Typing speed of at least 35-40wmp.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee constantly sit; stand; walk;
ascend and descend stairs to the second floor; reach with arms and hands; grasp; keyboard and mouse approximately 85% of the time; frequently handles telephone enquires; lift and carry up to 10 lbs.  Specific vision abilities include close vision; color vision; peripheral vision.

 PRODUCTION EXPECTATIONS
All assigned work must be completed to its fullest by the end of each work day. 
All rush orders must be handled the same day.
