Document Scanner Operator

Job Status: Full time
Job Location :Covina, CA
Salary: $8.00 per hour
 
 
The general responsibility of the Scanner Operator is to scan Documents using the Med Legal scanning program.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.  All responsibilities are to be carried out in a professional, timely and accurate manner.

SCANNING DOCUMENTS
• Compare customer provided list of files sent to actual physical files received
• Establish File Names
• Prepare Documents to be scanned
• Communicate supervisor of any/all discrepancies
• Prepare files for Archive/Destruction

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to handle each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School graduate; plus one to two years of office experience and/or related training. Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions, add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. All applicants will be required to pass a Basic English and Math test with at least 70% pass mark.

COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may constantly sit; stand; walk; ascend and descend stairs to the second floor; reach with arms and hands; grasp; lift and carry up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities include close vision; color vision; peripheral vision.  Employee may be required to use personal protective equipment.
